Saturday Shenanigans

Good Morning!! Rise and shine! I hope all of y’alls Sundays are off to a great start. Yesterday was a great day packed filled with awesome people and cheat meals! I can’t believe today starts that dreaded time in the semester for us college kids known as Finals Week. I will be doing a blog post later on in the week about stress eating and how you can get a workout in during this crazy time!

But first lets recap yesterday!

I ended up not being able to get in a workout yesterday and instead decided to sleep in. I have never regretted going to get a workout in, but I typically always regret not going and yesterday was one of those times. I could have pushed myself a little harder and woken up early to go to the gym, but thats okay! Lessons learned!

Sammy, my boyfriend, goes to Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, VA and last night his fraternity had a Christmas Formal, which of course is always a good time! Last year, our Freshman year, was the first year we went and it was just as fun the second time around. Everyone gets dressed up (which is probably my favorite part) and they get a band and have beverages provided, if you’re 21 of course!

The downfall of yesterday was the amount of cheat meals I ate. It is definitely true that you need to indulge yourself every once in a while and before starting this blog I never had a problem with it. However, yesterday every time I found myself going to eat something I knew was not good for me I felt guilty. I’m having this feeling that I am even relatively close enough to my healthy lifestyle goal to be able to afford cheat meals. But, what’s done is done and I can only move forward to today and be better then I was yesterday.

So, lets get right into it!

Breakfast:

Two Eggs and Two Pieces of Toast with a little Strawberry Jam. I started off the morning relatively well! I made this meal in less then 10 minutes! So, if you ever feel like you just don’t have enough time in the mornings to eat breakfast, just start waking up 10 minutes earlier and whipping together some eggs and toast! It’s perfect!

Lunch:

Cookout— Hotdog with Ketchup. This was cheat meal #1 of the day and that’s just all I have to say about that.

Dinner:

Chick-fil-a— 8-Count Chicken Nuggets with Polynesian dipping sauce! This was cheat meal #2 of the day, but I steered clear of eating fries and didn’t eat all of my nuggets! Plus I love Chick-fil-a, so this one was worth it.

Well, that’s all I ate yesterday! Today I’m aiming for eating better! Good luck to everyone battling college finals this week! I’m right there with ya!
