Cruise Recap!

Good Morning!! I know it’s Monday and with classes starting tomorrow and Virginia being much colder than usual, I figured I would do a quick recap of warmer days with no responsibilities! It was an absolutely amazing week spending time with everyone and getting some sun! Although, you would never know I went just by looking at me. I feel like I’m just as pale as I was before I left!

All six of us started our drive down to Florida the Friday before our cruise was suppose to leave, stopping in South Carolina to spend the night before continuing our drive on Saturday morning. We finally reached Florida around 5pm on Saturday and we checked into our hotel and headed off to dinner!IMG_4569IMG_4570

We ate dinner at Grills, a cute, beachy restaurant at Port Canaveral, which was where our cruise would be taking off the next morning! Our hotel had a cute outdoor patio with a little fire and pretty lights where we spent our night Saturday. Sunday finally came and it was quite a hectic morning getting to the port and going through the terminal. It is nothing like airport security, but still pretty crazy with all of the people and it definitely didn’t feel like our vacation had started yet. We took a Royal Caribbean cruise and the ship was Freedom of the Seas. We had been on this same cruise before, but it is never short of amazing every time we get on the boat.

Monday we spent the day at sea, laying by pool all day. Tuesday we had out first port at Labadee, Haiti. We all got a bungalow on the water for the day and had Ole’ Papa bringing us drinks and whatever else we needed. It was an absolutely amazing day!IMG_4568IMG_4567IMG_4572

All the boys stayed in the water all day long just floating away.

Wednesday we went to Red Strip Beach in Jamaica for the day, but for some reason I could not find any pictures we took there! But if I find them I will be sure to update this post!

Thursday we were at port in Grand Cayman. This was my favorite port of the week! We went to a resort on Seven Mile Beach called Beach Suites and spent the day jet skiing, floating in the water, and getting sun. Seven Mile Beach is one the top beaches in the world and if you haven’t seen it, it has to be on the bucket list. If you’re looking for actual paradise you can find it here.

Just a quick side note! Sammy bought that hat in the picture above at Walgreens the day before we left, because he forgot his and he hardly took it off the whole time. He was completely obsessed with it!

Mornings on the balcony with the family!

Friday was our last port in Cozumel, Mexico! We spent the day in Chankanaab Park, once again just laying on the beach and doing some great snorkeling.

IMG_4563IMG_4564IMG_4557IMG_4271We finished up the week on Saturday with a final day at sea before returning to the States Sunday morning and making the full 11 hour drive back to Virginia. It was such a great week and so many memories made! I was ready to come home by the end of the week, but now I just wish I could go back!

Thanks for reading Xx
